Image Analysis System was from LECO Co. The type is LECO 500 which has 5 position motorized nosepiece and provides a visual observation range from 25X to 2000X. It is used to analyze the microstructure. A number of unique features have been incorporated into the LECO 500 Metallograph. These include:

• Motorized nosepiece eliminating the danger of objective damage during changeover;
• Tilting binocular head allowing each operator to adjust the height and interpupillary distance to their comfort;
• 270mm×300mm stage with 50mm×30mm movements and rotatable through 90⁰;
• Bright focus concentratable 100 watt halogen illuminator;
• Parfocality at al ports including TV camera output and 35mm camera station.
